2 week post op visit, moved to mushies, full on 3 fork fulls?

Recommended Posts

Went for my two weeks post op appointment today, and the doctor moved me on to mushies, oh how I have been waiting for the mushy stage after not eating anything since the 23rd of last month. I was so excited to get home and puree some tuna, and that is what I did, problem is that after three fork fulls, I felt very full, is this normal? After a few hours I ate some yogurt, and it seemed I could get more of that down than the tuna. Will I be able to tolerate more as time goes on?

Two weeks post op, down 40 lbs since starting the liquid diet 5 days prior to surgery, and my Blood Pressure is already down by a lot, dr is taking me of the BP med already!

I could not be happier!

Thats great news about the BP meds. How fantastic is that? Excellent on the weight loss too!!!! I'm doing full liquids for another 3 weeks. I do find that when I eat cottage cheese I fill full fast after three bites. The same with the yogurt. On week five I can progress to tuna and any food that I can mash with a fork. I'm so looking for that. There maybe more restriction now that you are getting something other than liquids in. I felt more restriction after the broth and Water stage.

I am on mushie foods as well, I am16days post op, I can only eat 2-3 little fork fulls of food as well. Sometimes I just have broth with a noodle or something, lol. It goes down way better and I don't get that yucky feeling that is going to come back up your throat. My doc said that is the sign that you prob ate to fast or over ate.... 2-3 little fork full size? Can't wait to start eating normal, I worry myself that I am not getting enough... oh wait... I forgot to take my Flinestone Vitamins today!!! it's 10:18pm where I am... brb :) gotta eat Fred Flinestone!
