love.star 1 Posted March 14, 2011 Just wondering if I could get some words of wisdom or some encouragement. I decided to reach out to my "Family of Sleevers." I started my one week of pre-op all liquid diet on Fri March 11th. My surgery is March 18th. Since Ive been on the liquid diet, which consists of Soups, Protein Shakes, sugar free pudding/jello, Water, and juice. I have felt sooo sick to my stomach. I feel so sick right now as I am writing this. Ive been curled up on my couch all day. I dont feel well enough to really drink anything else. I keep feeling like I am about to throw up (TMI-I know). I feel very nauseated. =/ I was wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions as to feeling better? I will call my dr tomorrow to see if there are any other options. I dont know if my body is experiencing withdrawls or what. PLS help. Thank you!
Cheryl 1 Posted March 14, 2011 I wish I had words of wisdom for you. I know they told me not to exercise on the one week low-cal, low-carb diet because your brain needs carbs to function. Even if you are not exercising, take it easy and make sure you are drinking LOTS of Water to flush the ketones out. They are hard on your kidneys. I am on Day 6 now and have surgery on Wed and I actually feel pretty darn good . Drink, drink, drink. Sorry you aren't feeling well. I started drinking more fluids and have been feeling better.
