I have a question???

Recommended Posts

i just had my endoscopy done today and the doctor found that i had a moderate hiatus hernia.. who knew..i had no symptoms. Also i have a mildly severe esophagitis..i started medication for this.. I'm afraid that i may not be able to have my surgery scheduled for 3/22...Is there anyone out there that have a similar situation as me???

My Dr. found and fixed my hernia while he did my sleeve. So no problem hernia-wise. The esophagitis---the sleeve can make that worse, so I hope the meds clear it up for you and a PPI regimen after surgery keeps it at bay. Talk to your Dr.

Thanks for your the response. I'm sure he did not get the report as of yet. I will call him tomorrow to find out the plan. Thanks

I was a revision from band. We didn't do an endoscopy pre-op, but found that I also had a hernia while the doc was doing the VSG. He fixed it during the surgery with no problem. This is pretty common and not normally an issue. Best of luck!
