Billy363627 15 Posted March 8, 2011 You are doing very good you have to remember you stomach has a funnel effect right now . Clear Liquids are pretty much going to go right through you; 2 weeks out I was drinking unlimited Water. when you get to the thick liquids you will start seeing that you have a restriction. When you get to the soft foods you will say wow. I was questioning my doctor and told him I wanted pictures to say he even did anything..It is really funny but when I got on soft foods I can eat no more than 2 to 3 ounces. It is wonderful..YOu are doing really good and don't really worry about you liquid intake drink as much as you can..More water usually equals more weight loss..good luck
2bslimkim 11 Posted March 8, 2011 Hi - Congrats. You and others like you are my inspiration. I really need this to go well. I'm not one to get sick from Anesthesia so I'm hoping that helps. Also, I'm having my surgery tomorrow. My question is does age make a big diff? I'm 54 and really have an active life. I need to be going like you in a week. From everything you know thus far, how does age play into recovery? I'm a 36 BMI so I don't have as much to lose as some but I don't know if that makes any diff either. Any idea? I'm I have no idea how age plays a roll. I will be 48 this month and i'm sure i'm healthier than some 20 yr olds and visa-versa. Honestly, I think a lot of it is frame of mind. Go into it with a positive attitude and tell yourself each day that you are getting better and better. Keep yourself active (within reason) and follow Dr.'s orders. I have an employee that is sick with something every Monday. You name it she has it. She checked herself into the emergency room on Friday just so they could tell her she has allergies and that is why she lost her voice. She drives me nuts and one day she will really have something wrong and nobody will have any sympathy because she is always looking for attention (Bless her heart).... thats a southern thing to keep god on our side when we gossip Anyway.... Be your best patient and you will do great.
