You won't probably want it....way too sweet.

(But in case you do, no....it's pure carbs, and sugars at that...not protein). You'll want a pure Protein powder post-op.

Low Carb slim fast was an option given to me by my surgeon. I found it at Sam's Club. Although... it doesn't have as much Protein as many Protein Drinks available on the market.

YES it's allowed. It is a fairly good product but contains quite a lot of sugar and as Ami points out, almost sickeningly sweet. Most of these pre-packaged diet shakes have to much sugar or not enough Protein. They do save you time by being premade and packaged. They are also quite large too and I had trouble finishing a whole one early on aftewr surgery.

I personally use Boost brand. They are a bit smaller and contain a lot less sugars and a bit more Protein per ounce than SlimFast.

There are also generic versions like from Walmart or Sams which taste really, realy nasty.

Thankd everyone. Here in the UAE it is soooo hard to get good shakes etc. Slim fast is everywhere though!
