I am a teacher and I need a doctors name that would help in recommending me for this surgery. I have been with my current PCP for 5 years she will not help me. barbara465 2 Posted June 22, 2006 I'm not sure what you are asking. Is your insurance asking that your PCP approve? Mine didn't or if they did, I don't know it. I just went to the band doctor and had them submit the paperwork. I was morbid obsese so there wasn't many questions. Why not try that route first and see how far you get?
