chrismta 0 Posted February 28, 2011 Well, I have my date, March 15, 2011 at Lenox Hill in NYC with Dr. Yatco. I have already lost nearly 25 pounds in the last several months....I'm down to 425...my all-time high was 455 last October 2010. I am having the sleeve and I am hoping this is the best option for me. From what I have been reading on here, it certainly seems like it. I have lost and regained over 500 pounds in my lifetime. I have tried it all but managed to gain it all back (and more) from diets like Nutri-System, Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Atkins, etc. I am hoping that the Sleeve is going to give me the shot in the arm to allow me to lose the 200 pounds I need to finally reach my goal. I have 2 weeks to go to surgery and I would appreciate any advice you may have for me!! I am trying to limit myself to about 1,800 a day. I want to lose an additional 10 pounds by March 15. I am also walking 3.5 miles a day on my treadmill. Best of luck to all and keep the faith!! Best, Chris.
curry2dive 1 Posted February 28, 2011 Good for you! That is exactly why I decided to get VSG...to stop the yo-yo and maintain a sensible weight for the rest of my healthier life. Keep us posted on your journey. I will be sleeved in MX with Dr. Ramos-Kelly on 4/13. You have inspired me to get off the computer and start walking!

You'll love it. . . just hang in there! All I can tell you is be patient and don't weigh yourself all the time. . don't be nutty and stupid with the scale. . . put it away and only weigh at the doctor appt's, you'll be alot more happier if you do that. . . it's tough but so what. . . I actually threw my scale away the day I came home from the hospital . . . it was great when I went to the doctor office and saw how fast the pounds were coming off. . . now i'm 14 months out and yes it's slowed down alot but at least i'm not 350 lbs anymore! Good luck you'll do great!

The biggest worry I have is that I won't be able to handle cutting out all the excess food -- psychologically....but I think I can make it work when I think about people like you that did it! Keep the faith and continue to impress the masses. Best of luck for continued success. Best, Chris.
