Before And After Gastric Sleeve Surgery Photos

Sure I would love to hear about what you do as far as resistance and weight training. As I'm slowly starting to get back into it now. I want to try to get maximum benefits from lifting weights and resistance training while totally trying to avoid injuries. My best friend is a heavy weight lifter/body builder and he tore his rotator cuff one time. It took him almost a year to recover from that single injury.

fter I saw your picture here, I got my butt back on the bench again to do presses. I want my chest to be as flat and man boob free as possible. You sir give me hope.

A compliment I am humbled to hear, thank you very much!

Now, as a recovering shoulder surgery patient I want to go on record right now and say this, I never do bench presses. Ever. While they are good for the pectorals, they are terrible for the shoulder (rotator cuff especially), and there are much better exercises for the chest! Also, I don't do heavy weights at all. The biggest dumbell I use is 35lbs.Tops.If I need more weight, I switch to bands or bodyweight exercises.

I am terrified of another sport injury. That's where many of my troubles came from. If you want a good chest workout, you need to focus on the cable machine and only use the dumbbells for incline chest press and regular chest press. Using dumbbells allow for your shoulder to move naturally as opposed to locking it into an unnatural position. If you would be interested, I could write down my exercise routine (roughly) and start a thread. I make no claims of being a fitness guru nor a therapist, but what I do I got from my physical therapist and then from a sports medicine therapist I found online.

Anyone whom has had rotator cuff surgery can definitely tell you it is no joke. By far the most painful and slowest in terms of recovery of any surgery I have had. It took me about a year before it felt healed and doubt it will ever feel totally recovered. Scary thing is that the surgeon said, it is a surgery that often needs to be repeated down the road. Most of my damage was caused from arthritis. Bursa was detached, bicep was torn and detached, and the arthritis was scraped off. It's something that is always on the mind when working out.

As I'm continuing my new life journey of clothes shopping at non-big and tall stores. Found a nice J. Ferrer and Calvin Klein shirts I could wear. So I brought them. post-245068-14566218636661_thumb.jpg post-245068-14566218883922_thumb.jpg post-245068-14566219194114_thumb.jpg

I think I should make my goal of the year to get my shoulders wide enough to block the damn urinals in my gyms bathroom!

I'm a long long way before I view myself at "Beefcake" status. But I have been hitting the gym up to tone and firm up my arms and chest. You've given me motivation to do as such.

I did not. I've been very, very lucky, and I exercise quite a lot. Lifting weights has helped me immensely, as well as "good genes" I suppose.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
