HI i had it done 15 months ago 2/12/14 and so far I'm down 125lbs, but i have also stalled out on weight loss , cause i need to lose like another 15 to 20 lbs , i know it sounds crazy after losing so much weight but i set out for a goal and thats goal is to be 150 lbs by my birthday 8/24 and then I'm good , judging from your picks you look like you hit your make , as far as weight loss is concerned,

Luv2plumb Holy WOW!! That is fantastic! You've done tremendous. Seems like you've kicked a$$ this far, I hope you make your goal that would be exciting. Thank you! But I am far from my goal. I started at 228lbs 4/22-DOS, I was in high 240's after pregnancy. I'm now at one month post op and stalled at 195. Surgeon would like to see me between 140-150. My personal goal is 125-135. I haven't been that little in all my adult life. Even if it's just to say I weighed that and gain a couple lbs. Hubby agrees no less than 140. But being 5'3 I wanna see how I look once I reach wherever I feel comfortable. Being Puerto Rican, a girl needs her curves ;)

Yes you need to keep them curves , but don't worry cause the math don't lie , if an average person burns 2000 calories a day just doing normal stuff , and cause of your surgery you can only take in 1000 calories a day then it will start to drop you'll see the math can't be wrong give it time the body is still in a little shock and is trying to figure out what to do it will all fall in to place , but since it's getting nice out you should walk around out side cause I've found that that helps me plus it keeps me out of the kitchen lol

Thank you my friend! I'll continue to eat well and walk daily. Definitely need to stay out of the kitchen. Let's check in with each other and give each other help while we reach our goals!

I know the feeling. But how will you be able to teach yourself restraint if you 'cheated' for a bite if eggs. If your feeling hungry you must boost your Protein in take and Water. Our programs are designed to be step by step of what our body needs, healing process and gradually introduce food. We major surgery. It's typical to be on Protein Shakes and sugar free jellos, puddings water and broth for like 3 weeks. You made it as far to have the surgery, you can go two more weeks to make sure you don't overdue your pouch and allow for 100% success with the wls. Brush it off, nothing you can do, you tried a little move forward. You can do it. Good luck.

Agreed eggs are great for Protein, but if your only a week out. It's still very early to introduce that. From what I've heard it's typically 2 (on a shorter side) to 3 weeks before you introduce anything like that. Especially eggs they say bc se people cannot even handle them early on and end up throwing them up, which would not feel good after surgery.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
