I've just completed my six months of diet & exercise w my pcp & my surgeons office is submitting for insurance approval. Since I first met w his office I was originally planning for lap band & had a run down of my exact out of pocket cost which was around $2500. Since I deceided on vsg I was initially told it would be an additional $7300 out of pocket! I have great west heathcare which is a division of cigna. I'm meeting w my surgeons office Wednesday & was told he may choose to lower my costs. What's reasonable? Ive been planning on the $2500 - don't have that larger amount lying around. Anyone else able to get costs down? Surgery is tentatively scheduled for march 11.

      The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

        Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
