First....YAY....today I am down 29lbs!! (4.5 wks out)

When I eat Protein (soft deli meat, chicken, fish) my belly seems to get all angry. Doesn't really hurt, just makes lots of noises, only get about 3 bites down, feel fullness, more like a rolling gurgly fullness. Hard to describe.

If I eat carbs (whole grain crackers, a slice of whole grain bread w/ pbutter, etc) my belly does not crab at me, it sits very nicely and I'm satisified.

Does this seem right? I've read from you guys that carbs "slide" down nicely, so I'm wondering if that means it's a danger-food. LOL. I'm trying to stick w/ just Protein b/c of the protein requirements ( I can't and won't do protein shakes). It seems that I can eat those 3 bites of protein and then my stomach starts growling and hurting and I'm hungry about 2 hours later. If I eat that pbutter and slice of bread, it stays full for an average of 4 hours.

Just looking for your advice.

      Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
      What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
