DazyKrazie 4 Posted February 19, 2011 I FINALLY got my date today! My surgery is for March 14! I couldn't be happier. I have it set to take 2 weeks off from work and the 3rd week is my Spring break! Now I will get 3 full weeks of recovery! I have no idea if that is not enough or too much, but I am happy for 3 weeks! I still have the little voice that keeps asking why I can't do this without surgery! I watch a lot of Biggest Loser! I feel confident and happy and not scared of the surgery, but a tiny part of me still questions if I am really doing the right thing! Yikes! My cousin had it and had outstanding results! She had a very easy recovery and looks AWESOME! The other thing I keep thinking over and over is...what if it doesn't work for me and I still don't lose weight! Yikes! I know that is a crazy irrational thought, but when you are at your highest weight, it is hard to imagine being thin.
Billy363627 15 Posted February 19, 2011 I think 3 weeks is a good recovery for those who have desk jobs or teachers etc. I do heavy lifting and they said I could go back to work after 4 weeks..To answer your question I think it is going to be hard being heavy all my life and looking at my self thin.. It is going to be hard..I just don't know how to answer this but it is going to be a challenge when I gett to that point..if you look through this site I did post on that exact thing a while back and others commented so you can see their opinions..I think that this is a very good thing to do for yourself and if you follow the guidelines you will be fine . Good luck and keep us posted
