I'm on day 6. Am I allowed to drink any amount of liquids I want, for example Water, clear juices, broth up to 64oz. Is there a schedule i'm showed to follow our just when i'm hungry? Is broth and Jello counted separate from watery and juice. I haven't been following a schedule. I drink when i'm thirsty, I drink when i'm hungry. Sometimes it's a few sips sometimes several in a row our just one. Is that ok.

Yeah, I was told that you can have as much Fluid as you want. For me it was impossible to get more than like 45 ounces. If you can get in 64 your doing great!

Wow, if you can get in all your liquids already good for you! Just no gulping large amounts, sip, sip, sip. This time is all about listening and learning your new stomach.

If it feels like too much stop, if you feel you have more room then yes it is ok. It is all about hydration right now and yes Jello and broth count as fluids.

That is really cool there are no limits to Water sugarfree Jello broth. I drank and drank water eating jello and Soup broth I probably still get around 70 ounces of water and I am going on three weeks post op.

NO limits, the more the better so you don't get dehydrated. Your doctor should have given you a written plan of what to drink/eat - when to move to mushies, etc. Do you have this? Maybe someone can post one for you.

I was given a list of foods I can eat and at what time to start them but not how much. Also i'm getting up to 64 ounces but not quite there yet. Do I still do 64 ounces when I start my cream of wheat and apple sauce tomorrow

I am trying to educate myself to have my meals at regular hours. So I have my soup/broth at lunch and dinner. Milk with Protein for Breakfast and a bit of coffee after. For Snacks mid morning, mid afternoon I have yogurt, protein dink, etc. Water and juice all the time between these meals an snacks. It seems to be working well ans it allows me to have meals with the family. For one second it is hard to see them having a nice full meal while I am having my broth... but it is just one second, then the craving is gone.

I was told no more than 6-8 oz an hour. Good Luck and before you know it...this will all be in the past.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
