ldydrgnkpr 49 Posted February 13, 2011 I know that some experience hairloss and some do not. I have natural curly hair. When dry it looks thick, full. When wet not so much. Very, very thin. I'm sure I will be one of the ones that will have hairloss. I've been looking at supplements. Not sure if taking them will ward off the hairloss. If it would make it not so noticeable. Or just do nothing at all. I will probably get the Biotin. If anyone has any suggestions, please share. (waiting on a date) So maybe I have some time to do some preventive maintainence so it won't be so noticeable. Thanks everyone. Deb
SParkle 4 Posted February 13, 2011 If you search for Hair loss in the forums you'll find most people take Biotin, and make sure they get their Protein in. I did both, taking Biotin from pre op and making sure the protein count was high...... and still lost hair. Now at 8 months out I have about an inch of regrowth, so it does come back. My hair is naturally slightly wavy, only slightly, but it thinned to the point where I was parting it in different ways to hide the scalp showing too much, although now I notice that its not so visible with the regrowth. Most people experience it, and also get regrowth.... its more the shock of an operation than not eating enough protein... I had the same after cosmetic surgery about 4 years ago.
