The chocolate is delicious!! I think that is my favorite flavor.

But - I bought the chicken Soup and dont like it at all! For some reason I can deal with Protein if its sweet, maybe because I am used to the flavor. With the chicken soup it has a bit of a creamy taste that I just cant eat. Plus I dont like the fact that it cant be heated too much or the protein will coagulate. I got some recipes from them and I know the powder can be mixed into greek yogurt as a dip or cream cheese as a spread, I might try that.

That said, you might try it and love it. :)

I picked up some of the unflavored yesterday but have yet to try it. Others I've spoken with say that it blends in really well with Soups, puddings, etc.

Yes I have lots of packets of the unflavored. It really does mix very well with just about anything. I do also love the vanilla! You can mix all the Torani SF syrups you can think of with it and it's delish!!!

Also its so true that it mixes great with Water. I never had to mix it with my milk yet, ever. It's great, low calorie, low fat, low carb, great tasting... can't say enough...

Can you buy it anywhere or do you have to order it online? Went to GNC today and picked up some Isopure...just trying to figure out what else to stock up on.

strawberry sorbet is great --

I love the Soup I mix it first in warm Water and then add hotter slowly and it does not congeal

unflavored is great in apple sauce and pudding

You can buy it at Amazon.com, or at Neighborcare Pharmacy, too. I get it at the pharmacy because they sell it for $15.99, and there's no shipping. chocolate works well for me. I don't like the unflavored at all!

I have another brand of unflavored...love it! I add a scoop to my nectar strawberry Kiwi in the morning, and get a double blast of Protein to start the day. I also use it to make my own "chicken soup" using chick'n stock powder, or add it to mash potatoes to balance the carbs so my blood sugar doesn't spike.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
