I am in Fort Worth !

I am considering Dr. Stowers via My Bariatric Solutions. Please message me or direct me to anything you have posted regarding your experience with him.

I am considering Dr. Stowers or maybe even Dr Louisiana Valenzuela in Mexico.

@@SharonTX I use Dr Elias Ortiz in Mexico and my nephew is using Dr Curiel (both are through A Light Me). My experience in Tijuana, Mexico was nothing but excellent. I believe I got as good, if not better care there, then I would have received in the DFW area, and I am a nurse, working in the ICU setting for 27 years.

Good luck with your decision and your journey to a healthier and more active person.

For those of you in the Katy area and are interested in Zumba there is a great Zumba class @ Kenyetta & Co. Studio. Located @ 611 S. Mason Rd. Katy TX.( IJS) Wish I didn't live in the medical center. I used to go there when I lived out that way.

Have a great day!

Thank you for the information ! am now considering Elias Ortiz, Ariel Ortiz, Lousiana Valenzuela or Dr ponce de leon. My list has expanded. Haha ! I plan to make a decision in the next week. But so far I am feeling that any of these doctors would do a good job. I worked in the medical field for 18 years but not as a nurse...Admin. Thank you for all you do ! Being a nurse is a tough job !

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
