rollercoaster 1 Posted February 8, 2011 I am seriously considering the gastric sleeve procedure. Does anyone here regret having the surgery? Why? Thank you
buchannon 17 Posted February 8, 2011 My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.

cludgie 81 Posted February 8, 2011 My weight loss seems very slow compared to most people, but even if it is slowing down I have lost 3 dress sizes in one month, and it would have taken me much much longer without the assistance of the sleeve, and I would have eventually gained it all back plus some, which I hope won't happen this time around. I certainly have no regrets.
Georgia 2,908 Posted February 8, 2011 NO REGRETS! NONE!!!!!! As said earlier, only that I couldn't have had it years ago!!!
DENISE 0 Posted February 8, 2011 NOT A ONE!!!!!!!!! I am only 2 weeks postop, but in those 2 weeks I am down 17 lbs. Who would regret that? Only regret that it took me so long to do it!
janinemaire 7 Posted February 8, 2011 Like everyone else said, my only regret is not getting the sleeve earlier. I'm 3 months out lost almost 50 pounds and feel real good. A day before and a few days after my surgery I was thinking I should not be doing this, but that is normal. I'm so glad I had the surgery and I'm sure you will too. Good luck

Lisalu 89 Posted February 9, 2011 Not a single regret! Second best decision I ever made. (#1 was to have kids.)
Becca 108 Posted February 9, 2011 No regrets!! I love my sleeve. The only regret I have is getting the lapband. I wish I would have just had just gotten the sleeve in the first place.
TexasT 99 Posted February 9, 2011 No regrets about the sleeve. I was a revision from the lapband - which is kin to a medieval torture device - so THAT I regret! The sleeve is amazing and I promise you won't regret it if you have it done.
iegal 460 Posted February 9, 2011 Not one regret and I was a self pay in US. Okay I had one fleeting episode in front of a HomeStyle Buffet (of all places) crying over not being able to gorge. Wish I had cried over a good steak joint rather than the senior specials. You too will soon be here saying "no regrets". No more hungries all the time, no more stuffing myself only to still be hungry, no more hatred cycles. I love my sleeve!
chicagoanthony 1 Posted February 9, 2011 8 days out. 27lbs lighter. regrets....? not to sound cliche, but i should have done it sooner! much respect to my surgeons and their teams. i could never repay them.
M2G 1,836 Posted February 9, 2011 Not for one single minute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wasn't crying going into the OR, I was like "let's get this going, I've been waiting so long to finally have something to HELP me lose the weight and keep it off!" I love my sleeve! KathyM 14 Posted February 9, 2011 6 months out, 100 lbs gone forever, finally into onderland which I haven't seen in YEARS. Regrets? That I wasted so many years in an unhealthy body. But no looking back - this summer I am going on a river trip, then this fall to ride in a hot air balloon in Sodona, on to the Grand Canyon and then up to Colorado for a zip line adventure - couldn't have even dreamed of doing these things 6 months ago!
