I did drive a day or two and thats when I really started to feel tired and in pain.... Is this normal... Also I feel hungry alot but when I eat its not a full feeling its more like my chest is tight or full if that makes sense.... Just worried am I healing correctly and what Im experiencing is it normal or not.....Please share your thoughts or experiences with me!!!!! thanks in advance :-) BTW I have lost 19 pounds since post op(yayyyy) that makes me feel good when sometimes I wonder if I did the right thing or not

Call your doctor and get things checked out. If you feel there is something wrong don't hesitate about going. I put off going to the doctor for a week because I thought I was experiencing normal gas pains. Turned out I had a leak on top of pneumonia. Always listen to what your body tells you. Also the tightness you are feeling in your chest may be your bodies way of letting you know you are full. I had the same feeling and would stop eating a couple of hours later I would eat a little big more if my body would let me. Never take any chances when it comes to your health. One doctor visit could save you a lot of trouble in the future..

You got good advice. We are not doctors, of course. The fullness sounds normal, mine was more in my chest for a long time...seemed like with the swelling I could never get the food straight into my stomach I guess it trickled in. The first time my sleeve was actually full it was like OHHHHH there it is.

I'm not sure of the soreness. I don't recall having soreness that far out except if I over did it. But everyone heals differently. Plus I had the incision only at my belly button which probably makes a difference.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
