mjensen1 1 Posted September 19, 2004 I was banded in College Station by Dr. Benavides and now work with him and several other excellent surgeons at Surgery Center of Richardson. It is so great to be able to help other people get banded, but sometimes its hard to just BE a bandster and get support when I need it. Looking forward to getting to know all of you! leatha_g 4 Posted September 19, 2004 Welcome Melissa! I think you'll find this to be a great forum. Supportive without being over-bearing or restricted. Everyone is an equal here. That's nice.

New Hope 37 Posted October 21, 2004 Wow, we have a lot of good looking Texas women Bandsters that are just getting better looking and more healthier as the days go by. Congratulations to each and every one of you on a job "well done"!
lauri 0 Posted October 27, 2004 Alicia-My doctor is Dr. Cribbons, too! One of the nurses at my PCP's office told me about him. The last time I talked to her, she had lost 80 something pounds! I live in Little Elm. It's near Frisco-D/FW area. Where do you live? Hello to ALL of you TEXANS! I am so glad that you are here! This is my first visit to the Texas part. This site is one of my new favorite places to visit!
Iluvharleys 15 Posted October 27, 2004 Gosh, I don't know why I didn't add my name to the Texas thread. I am from Grand Prairie and was banded Oct. 18, 2004. Glad to meet y'all!
lauri 0 Posted October 27, 2004 Hey Betty! I just realized the States part of the site today! Pretty Cool-Huh?! I am so excited for you. I can't wait until I get my band. Until then I guess I will just have to live vicariously through all of you! How's it going? Where is GPraire in relation to Little Elm/Frisco?
lauri 0 Posted October 27, 2004 PS. Don't I look excited?!
leatha_g 4 Posted October 27, 2004 I still think we're gonna have to get ourselves together for dinner or something someday soon! There is bound to be a semi central place that we could meet up at. I certainly am not afraid of driving a few miles. Course, there are other boards who have dinners too - some of you may already go to those.
New Hope 37 Posted October 27, 2004 There's a boatload of us, aren't there? One of us needs to learn how to give fills. LOL
Iluvharleys 15 Posted October 27, 2004 It would be nice to have a half way point so more of us could meet. If you have to drive 4 or 5 hours to get there, you can't spend as much time visiting because you have to leave to get back. Lauri - I will have to ask my DH, I am not sure how far it is from us. Iluvharleys 15 Posted October 27, 2004 Laurie - DH said it is about 45 minutes he thinks. We are between Ft. Worth and Dallas, and Irving is right next to us too if that tells you anything.
