SFOTraveler 42 Posted January 28, 2011 Just wanted to say hang in there!!!! I hit the DREADED and LONG 3 week stall (about 8 days) and it finally broke and I am now back to the same quick loss as right after surgery. Hang in there and stay positive. The favorite mantra was "we HAVE to lose weight... we're only consuming 600 cals per day!"
kaehl 0 Posted January 28, 2011 Well, that is my mantra too cause it just doesn't make any sense that I'm not losing when I'm eating 600 cal./day! Nevertheless, I have been stuck at the same weight for about 2 1/2 weeks! I'm eight weeks out and have only lost 24 lbs. since surgery. I lost 11 lbs. pre-surgery. I'm trying not to panic here! Roseib 13 Posted January 29, 2011 Since month 3 I've lost 10-12 lbs quickly then stalled for 2-3 weeks and then started the cycle over. It's frustrating but the loss does begin again. Don't panic, Kaehl. Try shaking things up as others have said. I broke my first stall by adding a Protein snack and upping my calories. I just broke my most recent stall by upping Water beyond the required 64 oz.
klus263 9 Posted January 29, 2011 I broke my lastest stall with increasing my Water, lowering my carbs and increased my walking. With our cold weather it has been hard going out to walk everyday. The good new is during a stall, I am not gaining weight. I just realize the next time I see my daughter I will weigh less then she has ever seen me. We live 5 hours away and she has not seen me since I had surgery. I am hoping for another 10 lbs in 30 days before I head to New Orleans for Mardi Gras weekend.
