Firefly2 9 Posted January 26, 2011 Make sure you bring slippers and chap-stick to the hospital .... especially the chap-stick! Heating pad is good, but I didn't use one to much.
tiffnie 3 Posted January 26, 2011 Comfy clothes, blender, CHECK!....heating pad or ice pack? What is your recommended list of items to buy before surgery? Honestly, I dont think you need either. The only pain I experienced was from gas, and the only thing that helps that is walking I think you should add to your list basic toiletries like a mini shower gel and lotion, those made a huge difference for me after not being able to shower after 2 days. Also, I brought some knitting, my laptop for movies/wifi and a book. BUT I was in from Monday morning to Thursday so I definitely needed entertainment. Im not sure how long your stay will be. afdonn 1 Posted January 30, 2011 Before surgery I wish I had tried lots of different Protein Shakes to find ones I like, because I have sure found a lot I can't stand, so many are so sweet they make me gag. I didn't need a heating pad. Fuzzy warm socks and my snuggie have been great too!
