AMLP 4 Posted January 26, 2011 Hi, I am a month or so out of surgery and I am craving my popcorn. I eat it without butter or salt, so its pretty healthy and I'm sure I will only get a couple kernels down. When can I indulge?
Tiffykins 673 Posted January 26, 2011 I could have it at around 2 months out. It's my biggest (always has been) slider food. It slides right through, no restriction, no feeling of it being there. I'm not a huge fan of it, but get a hankering for it occasionally. I buy the 100 calorie packs on those rare occasions, and I can eat 2-3 of those 100 calories without a single blink of restriction. Cinderella 2 Posted January 26, 2011 I laid off the popcorn for SEVEN weeks, but then I had some. I love the stuff,... and its full of minerals. Take a teeny, tiny bowl... I'm not talking about a Soup bowl here, I'm talking about a Ramekin., and put a handful of popcorn in there, and eat ONLY THE SOFT KERNELS, one kernel at a time. Chew it really well, until it is almost liquified, and be careful NOT to swallow any hulls or broken hulls (the ones that get stuck in your throat) and you should enjoy it. I did not put butter or salt on my popcorn, but got a gat of the LITE popcorn from Trader Joes. Good luck! Cinderella
dodipai 0 Posted January 26, 2011 I ate popcorn at 3 weeks and had no problem. I was amazed at how little I could consume, maybe 3/4 cup.
