NaNa 878 Posted June 19, 2006 Hello, I am new to the forum, but I have had my band for almost 9 months now. I think I have pretty good restriction overall, I had my last fill in early May. For the last week I have been starving and eating more than I usually do. Normally I get full on small amounts of food. I am trying to figure out is my restriction slowly going away or is because of hormonal changes such as my monthly cycle due. I am currently pretty tight in the mornings, I usually gurgle mornings, but this morning I was able to eat food, like a couple slices of bacon and 1 egg and small portions of grits, I was starving...normally I don't do Breakfast...and yesterday I was able to eat about 2 pieces of baked chicken and a small portion of sweet potatoes and creamed spinach for dinner....by the way I don't PB, I do get the stuck feeling sometimes if I eat too quick, so I am wondering if I am due for another tweak in my current fill....any thoughts , I have never been overfilled and I want to avoid it, if possible... Carol Conley 0 Posted June 22, 2006 I think it depends on how fast you want to lose. I am not that experienced but it sounds like you are eating more than 1/2 to 1 cup at a time. I was told that was an indicator as to when and if you need a fill. I would wait until you are not hormonal though. I was able to eat about 1 cup after my 1st fill and I just had my 2nd fill and right now I can only eat about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of solid food, with mega chewing! Make sure you are getting enough Fluid daily. I became dehydrated last week and I could eat anything solid! It took a couple of days to rehydrate completely. bubblesstina 0 Posted June 27, 2006 NaNa, I agree with Carol on this... It seems that you are eating way more than the 1/2 cup limit. You def need a fill. I have found that even when I dont get that full feeling, I just go ahead and quit at the 1/2 cup limit, except when it comes to my icecream lol one other thing, when you think you have chewed enough, chew some more and put your eating utensil down between bites. Its amazing how much less we eat if we just simply do not have the fork in our hand!!
