barb1952 1 Posted January 22, 2011 Hello everyone, I am new here and just had my sleeve done on Jan 17th. I had a few issues so had to stay in the hospital for 3 nights. I am doing better but my tummy is still swollen. I have not gotten on the scale yet because I don't think I have lost anything yet. But I am very glad I had this done and know I will have a good outcome. I have fought my weight problem my whole life and I am hoping I have found the solution. I know this is a whole new why of life and I am ready for it.
Nicole Cappy 0 Posted January 23, 2011 Keep us updated. I go in on the 27th, but I only have to stay one night (as long as everything is good). I worry about gas in the belly. A few years ago I had surgery and the gas from it got under my shoulder. Now that was more painful than the surgery.

bloomin_vjf 1 Posted January 23, 2011 Congrats on your surgery, Barb!! I hope all is going well - tomorrow is one week!!! I was fortunate not to have too much gas pain - guess that first walk the day of the surgery was the key. In fact, I didn't have much pain, just some discomfort. I wish you the same experience. Take care! Stay positive!
barb1952 1 Posted January 23, 2011 The issues I had were nausea. And I was not able to get rid of the gas. My tummy is still pretty swollen. I feel much better will be glad when Tues gets here to have my staples taken out. I was also up walking the first day after surgery. But it may be my age also as I am 58 and I think that could be why I was a little slower to feeling better. But I my now on my way to a new me. Thank you all and this site is a great place to ask questions and get lots of info. Sleeved on Jan 17th Dr. David Kim Baylor Trophy Club
