Ali W 2 Posted January 19, 2011 I was just wondering - how long did you wear your compression stockings once you returned home?
Rootman 1,101 Posted January 19, 2011 Sleeved Dec 6th and still wearing them. In reality as long as you are up and moving around and not laying about for hours at a time (except for sleep of course) you can take them off. I have problems with edema (water swelling) and they really cut that down. As I drop weight I shouldn't have the edema problems and may discontinue wearing them. Foxbins 625 Posted January 19, 2011 I was in the hospital 3 days and took them off the morning I was discharged.
ThatDudesMom 13 Posted January 19, 2011 Mine was on when I came out of surgery and the took them off as soon as I started getting up to walk which was a few hours after I completely came to. That night they put them back on around 10 at night when it looked like I was going to bed, but then when I got up every couple of hours to pee and walk they kept them off.
