Sleeve and PMS.

How does PMS affect you and the scale? I did not really notice it last month but know that I will be starting soon and was just wondering how to prepare myself....

I tend not to gain weight, but not lose it either. I've noticed that my weight loss comes to a screeching halt and after I get my period, then I drop a pound or two. BUT, I am still the psycho woman a couple of days ahead of time (getting mad at little things) - my hubby was dearly hoping that would change -- oh well.

Same exact results for me too. My cramping isn't as bad though either.

I cannot complain at all. I've never been able to maintain during this time. I'd usually go up 3-5 Lbs - sometimes even more during my PMS/Pd. So, LG!!! I do truly love my sleeve. Too bad I'm already married. :P

Okay I should start any day now and my head hunger is nuts, just as it was before surgery. Only now I can't put away 3000 calories in one sitting. Do any of u have that problem?

Funny one this is ... my monthly friend still hasn't regulated itself properly... no average cycle as yet... I am hoping that as I lose weight this will get better! But I have always had this problem.

When she is here, the week before is a nightmare... no lose on the scale and sometimes I get real bad head hunger and very moody. The week of her visit, again I rarely lose weight, and if I do it is no more than a pound. The week after is much better... I might lose 2lb but I feel so much better...lol... glad she has come and gone I suppose! =]

Hormones really baffle me!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
