leeblewb 9 Posted January 21, 2011 Wow, you got to move to pureed quickly. I have to do full liquids for 2 weeks and then 2 weeks of pureed. You can get Protein in by adding protein to your pureed choices or chosing things that are already high protein - tuna, eggs, soft chicken, etc. Then just add extra unflavored protein to your shakes or puddings. Or to that Tomato Soup. Someone on here stated their doctor wanted them to wait a few weeks for Tomato Soup because of the acid. My doc did not mention it. I asked the nut. after I read that post and she said only if it was an issue, would I need to avoid it. Most people are on a PPI at this point and the acid in the soup should not bother most people. It does also count towards your liquid intake.
honeyrubybee 1 Posted January 21, 2011 Tomato Soup has a lot of acid which may irritate your stomach. you should double check w/ your surgeon's office.
