Rootman 1,101 Posted January 17, 2011 I don't know what to recommend but here's my story: I was about 6 weeks out and the weather was bitterly cold and I just wanted to warm my innards up. I took half a cup of Decaf with a little non dairy Creamer and a packet of sweetener. It felt good but tasted like crap after the first couple of sips - seems like all my food hits me that way, good for a few bites and BLAH the rest. I drank maybe half the half cup and poured the rest out. Did this 3 days in a row, Seems to be no ill effects other than burping up coffee stink in my breath YECH! Becca 108 Posted January 17, 2011 I don't like the taste of coffee as much as I used to and I was a coffee addict before surgery. I do sometimes want it especially if it's cold and my doctor allows it. I just put lots of milk in it with splenda and it tastes pretty good. I don't "have" to have it like before surgery though.
