Nurseygirl 29 Posted November 14, 2014 I was a stall for 5 weeks before the scale moved. I am 5 months post-op. I was hoping to be out of the 200s by now. My weight loss is very slow.. This is after eating 1000-1200 cal/day and taking a spinning class 2-4 times a week and skating. HW: 246 SW: 239 CW: 203.7 Well at least the scale has started moving in the right direction again ???? sandisleeve 563 Posted November 16, 2014 I was wondering if African Americans have the same success with the sleeve and weight loss as our counterpartS ***** I wouldn't say it's a race issue but maybe in some cases it can be a socio economic issue when it comes to affording healthier whole foods and gym memberships or follow up healthcare I'm AA and 11+ months out with great results even better than some others races I've met in my in person and online bariatric groups

I know I can't compare. And I realize that my legs had started to become jiggly which is not attractive. So on one hand I am happy it slow but on the other wish I lost more.
