sqzbly1908 6 Posted August 12, 2014 I am still in the challenge, however, I have not been doing my walking/exercising this week...but I am doing well with my food and lost an additional 5 lbs this week. This brings me to a total of 31 lbs lost since my surgery on 6/30/14 - so I am pretty excited about that... I need to incorporate some kind of exercise regimen as I know I could have lost a lot more 2 Ria1202 and msfitn2014 reacted to this
plumlove 12 Posted August 12, 2014 Hi Friends I need your advice! Over a week ago I started working out about 5 times a week. I have gotten more hungry since beginning that but Im still keeping my calories under 1,000. Usually they are 800-900 calls per day. Well I've been in a stall for a little over a week now - about the same time as I began exercising. What the heck is going on. Can I really stall because Im exercising or eating more even though my calories are still low????

Your body maybe use to your routine.
Forsythia 882 Posted August 13, 2014 Any time you up your workouts your body is going to react. Typically by holding onto the weight. At least for a little bit. You need to off set that by upping your calories/getting a bit more Protein and carbs. I always try to get up above 1000 calories on my workout days (It does not always happen, but I try). That seems to work well for me because since I've done that the losses have been steady. 1 Ria1202 reacted to this

Forsythia 882 Posted August 15, 2014 I definitely am worried about the hair. My support group leader said that African Americans don't usually have the Hair loss. I want to know if that is true.btw I am ruin yt. They say it starts in month three if it's gonna happen. .I am 3.5 months out. I've not noticed any unusual hair loss. I stopped relaxing my hair a few years ago, but my texture is not coarse/kinky, rather its fine and curly (or frizzy as my dad likes to call it). I do lose a lot of hair, but that is because I wear it curly and when I wash it after the gym or my swims its all matted and gnarled up and I have to really run my fingers through it to wash/condition. Today I flat ironed it and it looks the same as it always does. But I'm monitoring it closely!
New1 201 Posted August 15, 2014 I definitely am worried about the hair. My support group leader said that African Americans don't usually have the Hair loss. I want to know if that is true.btw I am ruin yt. I lost tons of hair about 3-6 mos post op. But I always lost hair after any serious stress. Physical or emotional. It all grew back but I just had a baby 2 mos ago so I expect some fall out starting maybe next month.

Ria1202 101 Posted August 15, 2014 (edited) Hi All, I am just reporting in for this week. This week was a hard week for me. I was going through this craving spell where I wanted things not good for me (my old emotional habits). I purchased these 100 calorie Lorne Doone.Even thought, I did go to the gym 4 times including this afternoon. I had great sessions with my trainer.
