BuriedBombshell 63 Posted April 15, 2013 I take in about 70 grams of Protein in. I am getting about 48 ounces of Water. I do walk. Due to a previous knee injury I cannot do heavy exercise. As far as carbs I've been eating beans' date=' mandarin oranges, and yogurt. Yesterday I was craving Peanut Butter and had 2 Peanut Butter crackers . I checked the label and it was not a lot of calories, sugar nor carbs.[/quote'] Sounds really good. More fluids are always nice, but very difficult, I know. It may be that your body is just trying to catch up, and things will speed up soon. My surgeon says that the problem is often too little calories. I started tracking in MyFitnessPal so that I can see whether or not I am meeting my goals, and what level of calories and carbs works for me. Maybe that would be helpful to you too
CarolinaLiving 5 Posted April 15, 2013 Greetings & Salutations from NC!! As of today, I am 11 wks post-op. To the individual who was concerned about Constipation, I've been adding Miralax powder to my hot tea in order to help keep things "moving along". 1 Mocha-NJ reacted to this

I am 8 days post op! I had hernia repair as well. I have not weighed myself, I will weight until my 2 week appt next week! I stopped being sore, Day 5. I have been running around nonstop since I got home! I have not consumed much at all, its a wonder where my energy is coming from since I have been less than 100 calories a day. I did eat a sugar free pudding cup! I am getting there! Gotta work on my Protein but I can say I average 40 ounces of Fluid a day.
New me after 7 7 Posted April 17, 2013 Hi I'm from NC too...Greensboro. I have my surgery next week. Maybe we can be pals since we're so close. I don't see too many folks on here from NC, just a few. I'm Happy to know that there are so many success stories but I'm afraid that I won't have enough knowledge to do what I need to do as far as post op eating and drinking... misslady 130 Posted April 17, 2013 Hi I am 3 weeks post op and not losing weight as fast as I was in the beginning. I wanted to ask what I can do to make sure I'm doing everything right. I walk just about everyday. Im not sure if my diet is where it should be. I drink my shakes and I'm introducing more pureed food into my diet. Does anyone have any suggestions and a daily menu they follow? Every thread I have read talks about the dreaded 3 week stall. It is the first of many. Your body is in major adjustment phase, trying to hold on thinking it's in starvation mode. Keep working the sleeve and you will see results. Don't stress because that's no good either. Never before had your body lost at this rate so be gentle and understanding with what it does. You will be a big loser! Lol
1FabulousDiva 33 Posted April 17, 2013 My weightloss had slowed down some. I am at 21 weeks post op. So far, I have lost 57 pounds. Hang in there, it will come off.

I have family in Gboro. You will be just fine. I came upon this website several months before I was even scheduled for surgery and found reading the different threads to be very insightful. As MrzSongbird stated, follow the instructions of your health professionals and definitely listen to your body. Every person is different and everyone's body responds in a different way. mrsajdixon 12 Posted April 18, 2013 Hello All, Super excited that I found this group... I am 25 years old and have been considering weightless surgery for years. I started in Feb 2013 on my journey and there have been so many bumps in the road. Currently I am on a Quest to lose 30 pounds before my surgery will give me a set date for my sleeve....I am currently doing 5 Protein Shakes and 1 healthy choice meal for dinner.... I have an amazing husband who has been completing this diet with me but I am scared that I won't be able to follow it for 6 weeks let alone lose the 30 pounds I need to. Just really looking for advice and support!!!! 1 misslady reacted to this
ajeeprider 94 Posted April 19, 2013 Hi Ladymorgan....I just got approved today...will be joining the ranks soon. My surgeon did not require any pre-op diet restrictions...but I started weaning my sugar carb intake. It will be tough enough doing liquids for 2 weeks so I wanted to ditch my sugar cravings and withdrawal headaches now and only deal with not being able to chew food for awhile. Are you glad of your decision? 1 MrzSongbird reacted to this
