I'm so happy you got good news!! I wish you the best and August 10th is just around the corner. Continue to pray and stay strong. The payoff is amazing!!! You asked when did I start exercising. My surgery was 12/13/11. I started to fill strong enough to walk after my 3 month checkup in March. I walked 1/2 mile for three days then 1 mile the next three days. It was hard and I was out of breathe but the more I did it, the easier it got. So, I pushed on pass the itching and aches. By the end of May, I was up to 3 miles 5 days a week. I saw a huge weight drop and pushed myself to five miles 5 days a week. Well, it didn't hurt anymore and my body was used to it. At my 7 month checkup July 13, 2012, Dr. Yu said congrats you've passed your goal. Now I do three days a week and I'm still losing. It's slow now, about 3 lbs in 10 days.

I will pray that you get through your surgery with zero complication.

Im getting stronger each day. I discovered unflavored Protein mixed with applesauce is key for me. Im feeling better now. liquid I use a spoon. Its better for me. G2 keeps me hydrated. Im only able to eat baked potatoes, sonic ice and applesauce for now. Everything else will stay down. Im able to wear large shirts now.

Please don't give up my sleeve friends. Trust God .I promise he will help you.

The stress test sounds scary and I hope I don't have to do that :/

Looking back, even though I would absolutely HATE to do it again, I would, I gotta get back to living life and not just watching it pass me by...It's not all that bad, It just felt really weird, the nurse told me to move my arms and feet to ease the weirdness, it helped some. Just looking forward to the end result :D

I know I saw a few newly sleeved folks out there, Keeping you in my prayers for a speedy recovery! God is able!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
