SFOTraveler 42 Posted January 14, 2011 Oh just wanted to add that his office recommends 6-800 cals a day.
Lila21 36 Posted January 14, 2011
this is totally my uneducated opinion but my starting weight was 214lbs and in 3 months i have lost 50lbs... so with a slightly higher weight... you are likely able to get there in 2 months but it wont be a cake walk.... Doing any sort of physical activity will definitely help you alot! I wouldnt focus on feeling ovewhelmed with the goal but rather take on the challenge and set a high expectation of yourself... this way you are more likely to hit that goal! All the best to you! and to answer your question, No I do not think your Doc is Crazy LOL!

Great point! I am upping my physical activity a lot, so we'll see what that nets me! I'll take it on as a challenge :-)
Lila21 36 Posted January 14, 2011
Oh just wanted to add that his office recommends 6-800 cals a day.

Thanks Alexis! Those are my same recommendations! I think I will try to up my exercise a lot to see if that helps. I suspect I haven't really been putting my hardest workouts in because I feel like I'm still recovering :-)
Lila21 36 Posted January 14, 2011 Thanks everyone, for your replies!!! I think I was just feeling a bit daunted, but I am just going to put out my best effort, up my exercise, and take it on as a challenge to try for. If it doesn't happen, I won't beat myself up too much, but I'll definitely try!
sleeveorbust 11 Posted January 15, 2011 i think that you are going into this with a good attitude... at least if you put forth your best effort, then you know you did all you could do once those 2 months are up Im sure you will surprise yourself on how amazingly you will do
BlackBerryJuice 349 Posted January 15, 2011 I think it's stupid of a doctor to set that kind of goal - while it is, by all means, achievable for some, it's not achievable for others, there are too many factors involved such as the person's metabolism that you can't control. Then what's gonna happen if you "only" lose 48, you are just gonna feel like a failure? Set your own goal. I set modest goals and then end up pleasantly surprised! 1 LilMissDiva Irene reacted to this
