My surgery was a week ago today 1/6/11 and went very well.

I only had a couple little set backs, A) I was allergic to Morphine and had no idea so there was an added day of Benadryl and getting the Morphine out of my system - and B: I had a little bout of dehydration the third day and had to stay another day. I was released Monday and have done very well at home. Each day gets easier and I think day 6 is the "magic day" where everything comes back together, no pain, etc.

Today is day 7 and I have lost 12 pounds! YAY!

Yay! Congrats!

BTW, love your ID.smile.gif

:) Thank you! That's my sleevie's name ;-)

I am a week out and am still sipping Soups but my doctor told me to start mushies today. I realize each doctor is different and it does scare me.. but I did try the refried Beans and had no issues. I was able to eat 1/4 c. of them without issue or pain. I just wonder why so many doctors are different? Why do some keep their patients on strict liquids for 4 weeks?! My stage right now is stage IV and I'm able to have ground meats with mayo, mashed things, Soups, Beans, etc.

Any chance that doing so a week out will cause harm??
