myrori 55 Posted January 12, 2011 I read somewhere on here and I can not find it in search about a person who ate pineapple post op and it did not digest and had to be removed? I think it had something in it that could not be broke down post op, are there other foods to be weary of?
Stacy160 201 Posted January 12, 2011 Different doctors have different guidelines, but most eventually allow anything you can tolerate. I was cleared for all solids at 6 weeks and had lots and lots of pineapple (YUM) in the summer, without a problem.
Tiffykins 673 Posted January 12, 2011 I've not had any issues with pineapple. The post I think you might be referring to is about the fresh, raw coconut that was eaten around 6 months out and it turned into a bezoar? ? ?
myrori 55 Posted January 12, 2011 Yes maybe it was coconut! Are there other foods that can cause the same problems?
