CaityCait3 0 Posted January 11, 2011 Hello Everyone My name is Cait and I am very new to all of this. I have been monitoring this site for several weeks but I guess a little afraid to contribute. I have to say this site has been extremely instrumental in helping me through some of the rough spots in realizing we all experience similiar things. I always joke and say I literally have been overweight my entire life because my two older brothers and I weighed over 10 lbs at birth!! LOL I guess looking back at pictures I looked great but always felt heavy because I developed earlier than most of my friends who barely weighed 100lbs entering high school. But my weight is a result of genetics but finding comfort in food. Food has been my best friend and enemy all at the same time. I always say that food addiction is a complicated addiction to have because we have to eat to survive but it also our drug. Crack addicts have to stop and cannot touch it again to remain in recovery. I /We have to stop over eating but still have to use food to survive. I remember hitting 200 lbs over 10 yrs ago and thinking OMG I cant believe I am a 200#er so you can imagine my surprise after many yo-you diets hitting over 250!!!! I had my sleeve nov. 8 2010 weighing 253 day of surgery. This morning I was 212. I am really hoping to make it to my goal of 150. But I really am glad to have this forum for support. :)

lara 0 Posted January 12, 2011 Hi, I would like to thank everyone that post on this site. It is a tremendous help for us waiting for the surgery. But know I can post my expirence, I 'm happy to say I had my revision done yesterday and at 10am today I was home . I'v had no pain and last time I had pain medication was at the hospital last night. So far so good. I'm having 4ozs of Fluid every 2 hours either thru Water, consume, popsickles or flavored water with crystal lite. I'll start with full liquids on thrusday (protien shakes and pudding plus what i"m having now) .I'll continue with full liquids for a total of 10 more days and then start with a purre diet. Will keep you posted, Thanks
klus263 9 Posted January 12, 2011 Hi Cait. I also stalked this site for a few months before I started posting. It has been a wealth of information and support. I have the support of my husband but he does not understand all that I am going through but I am paving the way for him as he will be sleeved in a few months hopefully. I understand the weight I think I peaked at 245 lbs was done to 232 when I went to my first seminar, sleeved Dec 1st and I am now down to 192. I know that the weight is slowly coming off and it will never come back. Yippee....keep posting on how you are doing.

loosing.it.in.2011 0 Posted January 12, 2011 Sounds like you are doing great! This forum has provided me with a lot of information and wonderful people that have been very supportive. My hubby is also super supportive but still does not have the experience to help or be supportive in certain situations. Thank you to all for being candid about what you are going thru. It is very helpful to all.
