What in the world is going on?

Yesterday I had this real weird feeling in my stomach and chest. It was like I was overfull and needed to get sick. I knew I hadn't eaten very much so I didn't put to much thought into it, and went on my way.. About an hour later I start gaging and this foam like stuff comes up. I layed on the couch with a wet washcloth over my face, and a few minutes later felt 100%. Today the same thing happened to me. I started feeling that full signal, and boom just like yesterday the foam stuff starts coming back up.. Has anyone else experienced this? Both times it has happened the doctors office has been closed "3 during the week, and 2 on fridays" I go back to the doctor on Monday for my 3 week post op, and plan on questioning the issue then, but for now I figured I would check and see if anyone else has experienced this, and if so what was the cause and how did you get it to stop? Other then that everything else is perfect. I am back on all my meats "chicken goes easier for me" and I am eating SOFT veggies "nothing crunchy just yet"..

I think we are going through the same thing: http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/12182-slight-tummy-ache/page__p__104843__fromsearch__1#entry104843

The frothy spit is driving me nuts, I wash it down and in a matter of minutes it's back. I find a bit of walking helps, maybe it just takes my mind off of it.

Hopefully we'll get some advise that will lead us to a conclusion.

Even ff you only ate a tiny bit , you ate too much . That sliming starts when we are too full.. the body is trying to bring the food back up. You need to eat very slowly

eat a bite , chew it well and then wait. When i was only a few weeks post op, all I could manage was about 3 bites of anything.

Hi there, yup you either ate too quickly or too much. . that sliming/foamy thing is your stomach trying to make juices to help digestion, but because our tummies are so very small, up it comes. . so slow down and chew well. . . what i do at 1 year out still, is put a bite in, chew, swallow, wait 2 minutes (yes I time it) and then another bite. . . do this for 15 - 20 minutes and that is your meal. . .wait 30 minutes and have something to drink, but drink slowly. . . this is only what I do, it doesn't mean it's a have to do thing. . . good luck you will eventually learn what works for you!

Man I must really be restricted! All I ate last night was a 2.5 oz chicken and gravy baby food puree and I felt it all night. Took me about 30 minutes to down it too. Nasty tasting froth and a coat on my tongue all night and when I woke this morning.

I'll try and cut back and see what happens.

the doctor started me on stage 4 post op diet at 2 weeks.. I do eat slowly very very slowly. It took me an hour the other night to eat a 1/4 of a chicken breast. I have had no other problems up to the point, and I guess I should have added in there I was diagnosed with the H. Pylori Bacteria the day before my surgery so I am on pills as well for that.. Drinking is getting easier "still sip sip sipping though" I thought it was to early for stage 4, but every doctor is different with there own set of rules. I used a highly recommended surgeon that has had zero complications because of surgery. He travels the world doing siminars over WLS. He is very very good at what he does, and is very low key with the advertising.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
