It feels like gas but im not sure. So how long does the gas last? how long does your stomach stay swollen? Also i feel like im hungry. I think its in my head. Any answers or suggestions? HI! I was sleeved the same day and Im going through tthe exact same thing. I had extremely bad gas pains all over my chest area the first day, they went away but up to now Im burping everywhere I go! Ive tried exhaling when I sip and walking all over etc but it doesnt help much. I might try gas strips next. Also, as far as the hunger I also felt that from the 2nd post op day. Its so weird its like am I hungry, is it stomach acid or what?? I think Im getting a little better at telling, I just aim to drink 2 oz an hour whether or not I feel hungry, and usually when Ive almost finished I get that unmistakable full feeling. I know that if I dont eat for more than an hour I get that unmistakable HUNGRY feeling. So anything in between I just ignore, even though it is getting a little annoying. Its like Im never just right, either full or with that weird hungry feeling. I posted something about it a couple days back and someone commented that it might be grehlin (sp?) that humger hormone still floating around the body. MommyTawnie 3 Posted January 1, 2011 Sip Sip Sip if your not sipping it could be what's causing the uncomfortable feeling in your chest/throat. It gets better as the days go by but you will never again be able to drink fast. I talked to a lady tonight that is a year out of surgery and she said she still gets that feeling if she drinks or swallows to fast. It's very uncomfortable I know because it happens to me if I get to big of a drink. However it could also be gas pains you are feeling or the acid from your stomach. I started getting a really weird feeling in my chest after drinking certain things and it would stick around for awhile. I called the doctors office and they said it was probably the acid and to start on an otc antacid. Always call the doctor before starting anything like that, but do check into it. I started on the prilosec this morning and it's already starting to work. Plus I haven't had that weird gas/air feeling in my chest. My surgery was on the 21st so everything I've gone through you are starting to go through now. This website is a wonderful website for answers so never be afraid to ask anything.. Best of Luck to You on Your New Journey!!
