NSV, work uniform

Recommended Posts

I have to go back to work tomorrow, I am a dispatcher and wear the same uniforms as the cops. So I go in my closet to get a uniform ready and I could not have imagined that the thing was going to fall off me. I know I have lost weight, but I really had not been able to see it. Well I am not sure what to do about tomorrow, go in plain clothes??? The uniform pants are not going to stay up!

So then I had to find something to wear to an Anniversary dinner tonight and NOTHING in my closet fits! NOTHING, things that were tight before now hang on me. I started crying in the mirror because I could not see it before today. The days of baggy hoodie sweatshirt hiding are gone, shopping is in order!

What a wonderful thing!!! I totally get where you are at. I keep pulling things out of the closet to wear and when I put them on they fall off! So into the *big* box they go! It's a weird feeling. . .exciting, but weird.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
