maudeispam 2 Posted June 16, 2006 I need to see my surgeon in July for my 3 month check up. Last time I saw him, he was pleased with my weightloss and didn't do a fill. I have reached a plateau. I know I need a fill. However, we are going to Michigan July 7-17th. I don't want to be to too tight and so far from home. What would you do in my shoes? I dont have a problem waiting till I get back from the trip and I am pretty sure I can see him before hand if needed. Just give me your opinions. Thanks. Elisabethsew 50 Posted June 16, 2006 If you're experiencing no restriction now, I would keep your appointment with the surgeon. He can do a conservative fill and then after vacation if you're not restricted, you could go for a 2nd fill.
NewSho 20 Posted June 19, 2006 I'd call my surgeon's office and ask if I schedule it a little bit earlier (maybe closer to the end of this month) to make sure I had time to get my fill, and 'walk around with it a bit' before my vacation. Once you explain you're going to be out of town for 10 days I bet they'd prefer to see you beforehand. Other than that, I've gotten fills before vacation with no problem so far (*knock wood*). I don't need to overeat on vacation so I'm always happy to be properly filled. So although you don't want to be overfilled and stuck far out of town, that is no reason to walk around NOW knowing that you are underfilled. Move that appointment up, I bet your surgeon's office will understand. Happy Band (And Life) Journeys To All...
