new desiree 0 Posted December 21, 2010 Hi everyone, It seems such a long journey from the start of the prelimary class for bariatric surgery to now. For me, I started getting serious about weightloss in March 2010 and that is when I started my first prelimary class. I started walking and can now walk 2-3 miles a day. I enjoyed all the classes we had to endure. I had surgery in San Diego and it was such a nice experience. Drinking in the hospital was good, and I was not hungry. When I got home, that is when the battle started. My family is making Cookies, making dinner, and eating like crazy. That is the hard part. But so is drinking every 15 minutes. Sometimes you just have to get up and leave the situation. Well that is my beginning.
TijuanaPlication 87 Posted December 21, 2010 Congrats and stay strong - don't let your family derail you, you'll just have to plan and have your own food items available!
myrori 55 Posted December 21, 2010 Stay strong! I find keeping my a mental picture of my new lower number on the scale keeps me strong when I think about those holiday treats, and soon you will be eating food and you will be surprised how full you get even from just teaspoons of something and their food wont even be a temptation! What a great present you have given yourself for the new year!
