Secret Surgery 34 4 Posted December 21, 2010 My doc said after a month I was good to go for real food. I have heard salad is really hard to digest and nuts are no good till 3 months out. Please share your thoughts.
Tiffykins 673 Posted December 21, 2010 No raw fruit, veggies or nuts for 3 months per my guidelines. Plus, I didn't have room for these foods. Grazing is heavily discouraged, and for me, nuts promote grazing so I avoided them like the plague. I ate steamed, cooked, boiled, roasted veggies during the losing stage, but very little amounts only because I honestly didn't have room for them after Protein.< /p>

SouthernSleever 228 Posted December 21, 2010 I started eating salads and nuts about a month out. I eat nuts when I have to skip meals from not being at home like when I'm working or out shopping I keep a small amount of nuts to eat so I don't get to teh starving point and overeat at the next meal. I have had salads twice and I've never heard my stomach talk more. I cannot hold more salad than other foods just lots of rumbling and gurgling from my tummy. BlackBerryJuice 349 Posted December 21, 2010 I also started with salads and fruit about a month out, they never caused me any problems. I tried nuts (pecans) about 2 months out, and I felt rather uncomfortable...however, recently I've eaten some and it didn't bother me, so maybe waiting til about 3 months is a good idea. Portion Control is an issue, though, as nuts are really high in calories.
