What is your height?

Recommended Posts

I'm 5'6 and I think I have settled on 170-180 for my goal weight. It depends on how I feel and look.

I am 5'10.5" but I used to be and inch and 1/4 taller but it seems as my weight increased my height decreased. My goal is 155 which I was back in the late 90s before a mountain biking accident claimed my health.

Why is it that the majority of the people answering this question are taller than average women? I find that interesting.

I'm just under 5'7" and would be thrilled to be in the 150 - 170lb range. I'm just looking forward to when my weight starts with a 1!

I call myself 5'9" but I'm actually 5'8 1/4". My goal is 175 but I would be happy under 200. I'm at 275 right now. Only 9 days post op.

Wow -- lots of tall women!

My goal is 5'6"

Oh, I can't do that

OK, I'm 5'2" on a good day and my goal is 140-150. I told a dr 130 once and she laughed. She said I won't ever see that weight again due to my age.

I'm 5' 9" - used to be 5' 10" Hmmmm.

My goal weight is 150, but honestly, if I get to 180 I'll be very happy.

150 is my dream weight. At 150 I can wear junior size 11 pants, I'm super-model skinny and feel like I own the world! At 180, I'll be amazing!

How's that for attitude?

THANKS FOR ASKING THIS QUESTION!!!!! I wish everyone would put their height in their signature line with their other stats. It makes a big difference.

I'm 5'3" and my goal is between 135-145. But, even if I make it to 150, I would be happy! I once weighed 158 when I was in college and thought I looked really curvy and sexy and no one looking at me would ever say I was heavy. Anything below 150 would be unbelievable.

Fun post!! I am 5'7'' and would LOVE to be 150 lbs!!! However I met my boyfriend at 160 lbs and felt very sexy/curvy at that weight too. So anywhere b/w 150-165 depending on how I feel. I DO NOT want to be bony looking!!

You guys are giving me a complex. I feel like a Pygmy. I'm 4' 11 1/2 ". My doctor uses 5' to calculate my BMI because that's as low as his chart goes. It says I should weigh under 120. I'm about 129 right now. I wear size 2 and 4 petite and am beginning to have trouble finding age appropriate clothes that fit me.

By the way, I think sizes have drastically changed in the last 20 years. When I weighed 120 years ago, I wore a size 10.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
