QUESTION for moms.. FUNNY

Recommended Posts

This is too funny. I have 3 girls and 1 boy. My son's penis is a wee wee and my youngest daughters vagina is a private. My oldest daughter who is 19 called it a china when she was little because thats what she thought i said, when i said vagina. I opted not to get my son circumsized when he was born, only because i felt bad to do that to him.. the hospital where he was born at didnt use any numbing agents, and i just thought of how that would burn and sting whenever he pee'd, so, i figured, God made him that way, so that way he shall stay. And we havent had any problems. He keeps it clean and everythings fine.

.

and it just goes to show, we may all be going crazy, but we are all going there together.

I swear my kids are driving... Now my son has a PENIS. He went to his paw paw yesterday to spend the night and I got a phone call this morning. My dad asked me what I have done to my son? I was like hu? what do you mean? He said that this morning he got up to go to the bathroom and Kaleb(my son) walked in while he was doing his thing. My son ran up to him and said PAW PAW thats your penis not your wee wee. Then he ran out of the bathroom and told everyone in the house, (nana, and two dd ) that pawpaw has a penis LIKE ME!! and he said it with pride!!! lol

My dad was laughing so hard that he had to call me. I told him we had just gave it a new name and now he's just trying it out for size i guess.. He did tell me that my brother also had an obsession with his for about a year then, although he was surly still obsessed with it, he got to the age where he did that in private.. THANK GOD

Thanks for all the stories, its so nice to know my son is not a FREAK.. lol

My mother used to call my vagina "possible" because when she would dry me after my bath, she would say " lets dry down as far as possible, dry up as far as possible, now lets dry possible!"

Our word for vagina is Poodly-Duke... (don't ask, cuz I don't know)

I don't have brothers and I think we referred to my cousin's penis as wee-wee....

My sister was having the same issue with the second of her 3 boys....when he was about 4. He just would not stop playing with his penis (and yup, he called it "penis"). So one day, she sat him down and explained to him that it was okay if he wanted to play with his penis but that he had to do it only in his bedroom and only when he was alone (thank god I have no kids!!!). He seemed to accept this new "rule". So, one day, I'm over visiting and we were playing and then he stops (I think we were colouring or something) and says, "I have to go to my room now". I said, "ummmm okayyyyy" (not understanding). And he smiles all proud and says, "yup, it's time to go play with my penis so I'm gonna go to my room where I'm all by myself and do that now". Of course, I was stunned and didn't know whether to applaud (he seemed so proud) or whether to burst out laughing. Of course as soon as he left, I got the lowdown from my sister.......yeeeeesh! He's 15 now and I can't wait to remind him of this!! hehehehe....ahhhh the evil Aunt!

OMG this thread made me laugh so hard. Some of these stories are so familiar. It's amazing how when you think you're going through it all by yourself....there are hundreds of other moms dealing with the same thing.

Penis has turned into "peanut" with my 3yo son.

That's what my daughter called it when she was 2-3YO. She was being babysat at my friends house who had 2 sons at the time, and everyone was potty training. Her oldest, who was just a few months older than my daughter went bottomless during his training. She tried to say penis but said peanuts. LOL! :)

My daughter calls her private sector her wootie. I don't know where it came from but it's stuck. She is now 11YO and she still calls it her wootie. LOL! My same friend who used to babysit her has a 3YO daughter and she also calls it her wootie. :success1:

My son's was Goober. We were at Sunday School one time and I guess the thing wasn't sitting just right or something and he was kind of grabbing and his SS teacher said what's wrong Joe-Don and he said Something's not right with Goober and she said, well, when did you all get a puppy" It was priceless.

These just cracked me up...my oldest couldn't say vagina so she called it "My China" which seemed fitting to her daddy!! Now they just refer to it as my privates.

When our oldest was 3 we had "the moment" when dad's and daughter's have an "awareness" moment and total modesty begins.

My husband was in the shower and our daughter opened the curtain and was talking to him and then focused in on his penis. She ran to me (I was in the kitchen) screaming and crying, "I need tape...I need tape!!!" I asked her why and she replied, "Daddy's hoo-hoo is broken and it's just hanging there!" I held back the laughter and asked why she wanted tape and with motions she said "I will pick it up for him and tape it to his bum!" So, needless to say my horrified hubby has never left the shower unrobed since that day and I laugh everytime I tell the story 7 years later!!!

Kids say the darndest things that is probably half the reason they bring us so much joy!!!

Oh lord this rings so true for me.. my son will be 3 in august, he is potty trained (thank goodness) but his latest thing is that his "pee pee" is big... it is so hard not to laugh, when he wakes up in the morning and he pushes on it and tells me to "Look momma my pee pee is bigger!" I have to constantly tell him to leave it alone, the other day, while strapping him into his car seat, he started hitting it, and I said "WHAT are you DOING?" he just said ... "I'm bouncing my pee pee" I said well stop! He said Why mom, its fun!!!!!!!!!! OH LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes reading the posts here make me wonder if some people just weren't mentally ready for WLS and needed more time with the bariatric team psychiatrist. Complaining about the limited drink/food choices early on... blah..blah...blah. The living to eat mentality really needs to go and be replaced with eating to live. JS

We have to remember that everyone moves at their own pace. For some it may be harder to adjust, people may have other factors at play that feed into the unhealthy relationship with food e.g. eating disorders, trauma. I'd hope those who you are referring to address this outside of this forum, with a professional.

This is a place to feel safe to vent, seek advice, hopefully without judgement.

Compassion goes a long way :)

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.
