DeterminedGirl 53 Posted July 10, 2012 Hi, Everyone, I'm marking today's date down in my calendar--July 9, 2012. This is the DAY I AM DONE. So, I'm brand new to all of this, and I've got a couple of questions: 1) I live inRoswell, GA and I'm thinking I'll go to Emory. Has anyone been there for sleeving? Can anyone give me some advice? 2) Do you all get your energy back? I'm reading this stuff about trying to sip 600 calories a day-- and I gotta wonder. 3) How long was the wait between your decision to do this and your surgery? Thanks, everybody! Can't tell you how much hope you give me, DeterminedGirl.

I only recommend Dr. Paul Macik and he works out of Northside Atlanta or Johns Creek. He is the best and I can tell you he is well versed in fixing problems as well. I love him and WOULD NOT go anywhere else. Yes I got my energy back and have more than I had at the age of 19 (don't tell anyone but I am 41 now.)

My husband was done in less than 6 months from start to surgery. Hang in there and if you need anything let me know. It is a hard and frustrating walk but the results are worth it. I was a size 22 and felt awful and could hardly catch my breath at times. Now I am a size 6 to 8 and live life to the fullest. Each day is a new gift that gets better and better. I have tons of energy and my health is great. Sending best wishes and hugs.
