I created a weight loss ticker using tickerfactory.com. I am not sure how to access it when I want to reply or start a new topic. Could someone explain this step by step:blink:

I'm new, too, but I just saw this on another forum. Now I just have to figure out how to update the ticker!

  • First you have to go a ticker site ( I just picked mine randomly). For example, I went to http://www.tickerfactory.com.
  • Once you are there, you will create a profile for yourself where you will enter your current weight and your goal weight (some of them have different information you can add, like BMI).
  • Once you have created your profile, you'll choose your ticker and the counter (for example, I chose a blue bar, and duck for my counter--I think you can change these up as you feel like it). Once you have done that, the site will provide you the code for your ticker. I think I chose the HTML code

After you create your code, you'll need to add it to your profile. To do this:

  • From the home page, click your profile name to open the drop-down list. Click "My Settings"
  • In the settings options, Click Profile > Change my Signature
  • In the signature area, paste the code that your ticker site provided you
  • It should display as your current signature

hope that helps!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
