Qmin 0 Posted December 8, 2010 Hi, I underwent a VSG on Dec 2nd 2010, so today is day 6 for me, I guess I'm on Stage 2, so far I've been able to have tea, Water, pudding, milk, and today I had lentil Soup. So far I've lost 16 pounds. I was wondering when I can eat the following things: - Hummus (its my favorite thing ever) - Pasta - Peta bread
LilMissDiva Irene 3,282 Posted December 8, 2010 Hello Qmin, Welcome to VST!! Well, I believe that question should only be answered by your surgeon. I personally get full very fast on any kind of pastas, and I'm nearly 3 months out at this point. The main thing is to let your stomach heal right now. Stick to your Post Op diet plan given to you by your surgeon or Nutritionist. You can always give them a call if you feel you need to move forward faster. However, only do this on their advice! All the best!
Tiffykins 673 Posted December 8, 2010 Pasta hurt until I was about 4-6 months postop, breads I avoided until I was at goal. Hummus is considered a mushy food by my guideline along the lines of mushed up Beans.< /p>
LESLIEH 68 Posted December 8, 2010 I had my surgery Nov 9th and I just cant wait to have my salads back and some kind of substance like turkey or meat. Tomorrow is my one month and Im keeping everything crossed to be able to move on up in the food stages:D
Susanne 32 Posted December 8, 2010 I was OK'd for Hummus as a full liquid, but I mixed it with Greek yogurt. It makes it silky smooth and adds some extra Protein. I was so fed up with the sweet/bland stuff, so I added a bit of sriracha/hot sauce
