GE Mom 0 Posted June 14, 2006 I just learned that I'm tentatively scheduled for banding on July 24. Now, of course, it suddenly seems very real. For those who've already been through it, what do you wish you'd known earlier? Do you exercise as much as you're supposed to? Can you ever eat some semblance of a normal meal? Are you glad you did it?
coyotegirl 3 Posted June 15, 2006 Hi GE mom, Welcome to LBT!! I can't think of anything I wish I'd known before being banded except maybe how to eat right and not need it in the first place? Excercise? Well I can't lie there. I don't excercise like I should. I did at first but I HATE EXCERCISE!! I know it would be soooo much better for me if I did but I always find an excuse not to do it. I can eat a normal meal just not as much as I use to. I am going in for a small unfill next week Because I have been having trouble lately getting food down and it staying down. It really depends on what you call a normal meal. I can't eat breads, and haven't been able to in a long while. But who needs the extra carbs right? Am I glad I did it? OH YES!! I would do it all over again in a heart beat!!! I love my band!!!! Again Welcome and congratulations on the date to your new journey!
GE Mom 0 Posted June 15, 2006 So you're losing weight? Despite not as much exercise as you should? That's wonderful! (Wonderful in the sense that you're successful even with a few imperfections!)
