BZButterfly79 19 Posted December 3, 2010 This question might sound unimportant but being a mother of three and having a husband who travels a lot I can't help but wonder if it is safe for me to drive right after surgery, I know I drove very soon after my C-section maybe like 2-3 days but that's I think a bit more prone to reaping due to the stress on the lower abs. And last I wanted to find out what does the doc usually say regarding the sex quarantine? Is it safe to not adhere? What was your experience and what do you think? Thanks!!! 1 BZButterfly79 reacted to this
M2G 1,836 Posted December 4, 2010 As for driving, I was told as long as I had been off of pain pills for 8 hours or more then I could drive if I needed/wanted to. I didn't "need" to drive until about 5 days post-op, and was off pain meds by day 3, so it all worked out good. As far as the other, I would just recommend listening to your body. If you are in pain still, you most likely won't enjoy "it". And I also recommend going slow the first time so you don't pull/stretch anything abdominally. 1 BZButterfly79 reacted to this
Go Kart Mozart 44 Posted December 5, 2010 My surgeon didn't want me to drive for thirty days, but there was absolutely no chance of that happening. I had surgery on a Wednesday and drove myself to work a week later.
