beckyBUTless 0 Posted December 2, 2010 My VS journey began with a seminar led by Dr. Nicholson around April 2010. Over the next 90 days I did the recommended nutrition meetings and sleep study which led me to my surgery on 11/2/10 (which had been rescheduled from 10/26/10 due to irregular EKG). The surgery went well out of the hospital the 2nd day. I was back at work (worked from home) the 2nd week and in the office the 3rd week. I lost 13 lbs on the 2 week preop diet, gained 9 pounds the day of surgery from the gas, and another 17 since surgery, total of 31 pounds. Not shabby at all but now I'm on a stall. I haven't lost weight for more than 2 weeks now even though I take in less than 900 calories a day and get in my Protein most days. And I've been walking at least 30 minutes or more 3-4 times a week. I know other people have talked about a stall and was wondering when it finally lifted, especially this early in the process?
myrori 55 Posted December 2, 2010 Heck I think I am in a stall right out of the gate. 3 whole pounds the first week.
rd2010 0 Posted December 2, 2010 One thing I have noticed is, that I have only lost 17 pounds since the surgey; however I have to buy all new clothes. It seems like I am losing tons of inches. I think the scale sometimes may not always give the most accurate information on how your body is doing. Not sure if others have seen the same thing or not. beckyBUTless 0 Posted December 2, 2010 You've probably lost more than that...I don't know if you weighed yourself the day of surgery and then the day after surgery, but I did and found out that I gained 9 pounds just from the gas they pumped in me for the surgery. Heck I think I am in a stall right out of the gate. 3 whole pounds the first week.
myrori 55 Posted December 2, 2010 That was the weirdest thing, there I was for WLS and at no time did they weigh me.
